Help Support Our Island of Misfit Animals
Since 2016, our small rescue operation has been a haven for abandoned, abused, and unwanted cats and dogs. What started as a family endeavor has now become my sole responsibility, caring for over 1,000 animals in need. Despite working multiple jobs, the financial burden has become overwhelming. The costs of food, vet bills, utilities, and transportation are taking a toll, especially with unexpected emergencies.
Last year alone, vet bills amounted to $16,000, a significant portion of my income. Every animal we rescue, every life we try to save, comes with its own set of challenges. Some require extensive medical care, while others face behavioral issues that make adoption difficult.
Currently, we have 25 animals that we lovingly call the island of misfit animals. Ranging from 13-year-old dogs to 15-year-old cats, each one deserves a chance at a healthy and happy life. However, the financial strain has made it difficult to provide them with the care they need.
