What is a team fundraiser?

A group fundraiser allows multiple individual fundraisers to be aggregated on one page with a custom URL. This is ideal for community or company-wide campaigns where everyone contributes to a collective goal. Group fundraisers provide a central place to monitor progress while still allowing participants to share their individual stories and goals. Each participant has their own page, but all donations are pooled to a shared goal, creating a unified experience with tracking and leaderboards.

How do I create a new fundraising team?

To create a new team, email us at support@spotfund.com or submit the form on this page and we’ll help you get started. As the team creator, you can choose whether anyone can join freely or if joining is by invitation only. You can also require a private registration link, password, or code for added control. *spotfund allows you to create a custom URL for your group fundraiser, making it easier to share with participants and donors.

Is there an additional cost to create group fundraisers?

No, there are no additional fees for creating a group fundraiser. *spotfund's standard transaction fees apply.

I see a fundraising team I would like to join. How do I join an existing team?

To join an existing team, follow the instructions provided by the team creator. This may include using a private registration link, password, or code if the team is invite-only.

What is the difference between *spotfund's Co-Managed (Collaborative) and Group (Team) Fundraising features?

Co-Management is designed for a small group collaborating on one shared fundraiser. Everyone you invite can help manage, edit, and promote that single campaign, making it easy to work together on one project. Team Fundraising, by contrast, allows many people to raise money for the same cause through their own individual fundraisers. Each campaign contributes to a shared team goal, and all campaigns are displayed together on a team page—for example: WPHS Hockey Parents Association—so supporters can see the collective effort. Both Co-Management and Team Fundraising work for one-time campaigns or ongoing fundraising efforts.

Team Fundraiser Page Functionality

*spotfund’s group (team) fundraiser page functionality shows all individual fundraisers for your cause in one place, with the total amount raised prominently displayed at the top – inspiring supporters to join in and help reach the collective goal faster.
