We are a family of 8 part time, 6 full time. We bought our house in 2023 in hope to fix it up and either rent it out and find our forever home, or expand and upgrade it to be our forever home. Over the last 3 years we had a job loss that resulted in a major set back which out us months behind on our bills making it very hard to keep up with maintenance on the home. This has resulted in our foundation getting worse and worse every year. We have gotten under the house countless times to use car jacks to try and an level the floors but the main load bearing beam in the floor is cracked. This is resulting in countertops and cabinets separating slowly from the walls. We removed 2 walls to take weight off of the worst part of the house and allow easier work when jacking it up but it didnt do much good. A month ago we recieved an almost $700 water bill sending us on a hunt for a water leak, no leak was found but lots of Mold was. We cant even get ahead on fixing these issues because the mortgage we are always 2 months behind on. We also have 3 kids sharing the biggest room, a 12 yr old girl, a 7 yr old girl and a 5 yr old boy. We have our 3 yr old roomed with us and my 13 and 14 year Olds together in the smallest room. There would never be a way to fit 3 boys into that room together to eventually have girls in one room and boys in the other as that room is completely maxed out with just a bed a dresser, one more bed would never fit. Their room is also the room that is falling in the worst. We have their dresser leveled to keep from falling over. If we got the mortgage paid we are in debt on, we could finally use that extra $800 a month to remodel or even rent this one out after fixing major issues and upgrading to a bigger house. Doing this is taking all my pride, im never one to ask for help or handouts. But, right now I am doing all I can as a sahm with my tiktoks but its just getting me where I need to be only making $2 a day. My fiance works his hands to the bone to keep up with the bills and groceries and its just never enough. Even $1 is so appreciated.
