My baby girl MiicolaahRae (aka LaLa or Rae) is one of the strongest, most independent, and genuinely amazing young women I know. In her almost 20 years of life, she has already been through more than most people should ever have to face, yet she still gets up every day and keeps pushing forward with grace, strength, and faith. She graduated high school with honors, went straight into an engineering job, got her own place, pays her own bills, takes care of her car and her puppy, and has been building a life for herself completely on her own. Honestly, she’s doing better at adulthood than I ever did at her age (or any age- and I’m old enough to admit that LOL). Unfortunately, due to some unexpected personal hardships, she ended up without a job for a period of time. The good news is that she recently found another job and is working hard to get back on track. The hard part is that falling behind happens fast when you’re doing everything alone, and right now she’s struggling to catch up on rent, utilities, car payments, insurance, groceries, and basic living expenses. If you know my daughter, then you know asking for help is NOT something she does easily. (Wonder where she gets that from...) In fact, I practically had to force her to let me help at all by reminding her, “I’m the mama, and I AM helping.” She carries so much on her shoulders and rarely lets anyone see it. I help her as much as I possibly can, but I’m also still working on rebuilding my own life while supporting my other children and responsibilities. Plus, she is all the way in Houston, all by herself, with no one there to help her. I simply can’t do enough on my own right now, so I’m asking for help from anyone who feels led to give. Every single donation- no matter how small- will go directly toward helping her get caught up and breathe a little easier while she gets back on her feet. And if you aren’t able to donate, prayers, shares, and words of encouragement are just as appreciated. One of the things that inspires me most about her is her faith. She loves Jesus with her whole heart. Seriously… when’s the last time you met a 20-year-old girl who doesn’t even cuss? Please help in any way that you can. Thank you in advance for your prayers, shares, kindness, and support. It truly means more than you know.
