Hi, my name is Jory, and I’m creating this fundraiser during one of the hardest and most confusing periods of my life.
For most of my life, I struggled with severe mental health issues that went undiagnosed for years, including CPTSD, ADHD, anxiety, panic disorder, OCD symptoms, Depression andBorderline Personality Disorder among other things including tremors so bad that they are making my life more difficultif thats even possible.I spent a long time trying to push through and function normally without fully understanding why everyday life felt so overwhelming.
Recently, things reached a breaking point. I experienced a severe nervous breakdown while working at a new job that I truly enjoyed, and I ultimately lost that position because of how drastically my mental health had declined. Since then, my life has changed completely. I struggle to leave the house, experience constant anxiety and panic attacks, and I’m currently in the process of applying for Social Security disability benefits. Unfortunately, that process takes time, while bills and everyday expenses continue to pile up.
Right now, I’m simply trying to stay afloat and keep a roof over my head while I work through treatment and the long disability process. One of my biggest fears is losing the stability I still have left — especially my three dogs, who have been my comfort and emotional support through some of the darkest moments of my life. I don't have a support system that tries to understand me, its more like they think im putting on but I wish that's all it was. Im just in a very dark place right now and thd fact that on top of it im stressing about bills and just how the rest of my life is going to play out is really stressful for me, a person who is already permanently stressed.
