
Matthew James Salvesvold, 49, of Lancaster, CA, passed away on August 2, 2023 at Palmdale Regional Medical Center in Palmdale, CA surrounded by his loving family. Matt was born on November 21,1973 in Albany, NY to John Andreas Salvesvold Jr. and Donna May Salvesvold, Patnode.
Matt married his high school sweetheart, Hannah L. Anderson. His journey in life led them to own and operate Viking General Construction Corp. Matt generously mentored his employees and encouraged them to pursue their own goals and start their own companies. Matt never met a stranger; he was always ready for an outing or adventure. Whether it was on his dirt bike, side by side, boat, fishing, swimming pool, gun range, movies, or flying airplanes, he had many hobbies and enjoyed sharing with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife Hannah, their children Chloe, Megan, and Lucas, all at home, his mother Donna Patnode of Lancaster, CA, siblings: Sheri (Scott) Avis, of Las Vegas, NV, Eric Salvesvold from Lancaster, CA, Dane (Cloe) Salvesvold of Temecula, CA, Joelle Jungblut of Temecula, CA, Brett (Claudia) Patnode of Vista, CA, Teri Richardson, Salvesvold (step-mother) of Palmdale, CA, numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his father John A. Salvesvold Jr. and his stepfather Dennis (Poppy) Patnode.
A celebration of Matt’s life is planned for: September 10th 2023.
