Laura is one of those people who shows up for everyone—whether you need a laugh, a shoulder, or someone to just sit beside you when life feels heavy. As an ER nurse, that’s not just who she is—it’s what she does every single day. She takes care of people on some of their hardest days… and now, it’s our turn to take care of her.
Recently, Laura was diagnosed with breast cancer. In true Laura fashion, she faced it with strength and determination. Her family has been with her every step of the way. The good news: the cancer has been removed. The not-so-fun part: she’s now undergoing preventative chemotherapy—because once was more than enough, and we’re making absolutely sure it stays that way.
Since early January, Laura has been out of work focusing on her health, and she’s now running out of PTO days. Between that and the added costs of IV treatments, supportive therapies, and everything that comes with healing, the financial stress starts to build—on top of everything else she’s carrying.
This phase is all about protecting her future, giving her peace of mind, and getting her back to doing what she loves (even if that means being back in the ER taking care of everyone else again).
We’re coming together to support Laura the way she has always supported others—steadily, selflessly, and without hesitation. Every donation, big or small, will go directly toward her treatments and help ease the financial burden during this time.
If you’re not able to give, sharing this and keeping Laura in your thoughts means just as much.
Let’s rally around her, lift her up, and remind her she’s not in this alone.
Because if there’s one thing we know—it’s that Laura is incredibly strong… but even the strongest people deserve a team behind them.
