My name is Kathleen, and I’m reaching out to ask for any assistance or guidance you may be able to provide regarding a 7-week-old kitten in my care named Puzzle.
I adopted Puzzle from a local veterinary clinic who failed to disclose that she had a femoral growth plate fracture — a serious injury that requires urgent surgical intervention. After seeking a second opinion and two veterinary evaluations, it’s been confirmed that the best course of action for her long-term health and quality of life is hind leg amputation. The estimated cost is around $1,000, and I’m currently doing everything I can to raise the funds.
Despite the pain, Puzzle is incredibly resilient and affectionate. She's otherwise healthy under the circumstances, and I’m committed to giving her a full, pain-free life — I just need some help to get her there.
If your organization provides medical assistance, funding, or even connections to low-cost surgery options or vets who work with low-income families, I would be immensely grateful. Any support — whether financial, referrals, or simply pointing me in the right direction — would make a huge difference for Puzzle.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. I’ve attached a recent photo of Puzzle. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need any further information.
Sincerely,
Kathleen Carpenter
