Why should you vote for me? Let me tell you a little bit about myself!
In 2016, my dad suffered a heart attack at the age of 56. Thankfully, he listened to his body and got the medical attention that was necessary. At the time, I was just 14 years old and the thought of losing my dad felt like my world was falling apart. In the next few weeks, I also had a few friends who lost their fathers due to heart attacks. After my experience and learning about others, I knew I had to do something.
I created my Community Service Initiative, The Heart of the Matter, and since the age of 14, I have made it my mission to educate as many people as possible on the signs and symptoms of heart attacks. In addition to this, I have also:
- Successfully advocated for Senate Bill 115 in June of 2019. This law makes CPR education a graduation requirement for all high schools in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Raised over $21,000 for the American Heart Association through various fundraisers.
- Attended several American Heart Association events including Heart Balls and Go Red For Women Experiences.
I am extremely proud of my accomplishments, thus far, but I know my work is not finished!
I truly would not be where I am today, without having the Miss America Opportunity! I am thankful for the scholarships, the sisterhood, and the endless opportunities that it provides to so many young women, such as myself.
