There are many cherished moments that make Byron feel more like home since our Eagle Park project! In recent months we have enjoyed several musical performances at the Eagle Park Overlook Deck and look forward to many more next summer! We have added a gorgeous pavilion … with picnic tables & lighting … at the ballfields! We are moving & grooving in BYRON!
The Riverwalk Project is more than just a development; it's our shared dream of connecting with nature and each other. As we embark on the next phase—building the Fishing Platform and Boardwalk just upriver from the Kayak launch—there is a mix of excitement and gratitude for the community's support so far.
This isn’t just about construction; it's about bringing families closer and creating memories. It's about providing ADA access to a beautiful resource that allows everyone an opportunity to enjoy what our Village has to offer - safely! Balancing the delicate ecosystem here, especially working with EGLE and respecting our local friend, the Eastern Massasauga Rattlesnake, makes this project even more meaningful. We’re not just paving paths, we are fostering respect for the land we love. With everyone’s help, we can create a beautiful space that not only enhances our village but also deepens our connection to nature - and to each other.
This project has been planned for quite sometime, however, we got hung up with the EGLE permit and the increased price of materials! Help us secure the remaining funding needed so we can start - and complete - this project between October 2026 and April 2027.
