We are devastated to share that our families are facing an unimaginable loss. Two precious boys, loved more than anything, were taken from us far too soon. Their mother, Christina, is heartbroken as she mourns the loss of her babies. At the same time, Ken and Kathy who were not only Deven’s grandparents, but also his adoptive parents and daily caregivers are grieving the loss of their son just the same.
This fundraiser was created to support both families as they navigate a level of pain no one should ever have to endure. The emotional weight is overwhelming, and the practical responsibilities that follow a tragedy like this add another layer of hardship during a time when simply getting through the day feels impossible.
Every donation will go directly toward helping Christina, Ken and Kathy as they mourn their children and face the difficult days ahead.
Whether you’re able to give, share, or simply keep the families in your thoughts, your kindness means more than we can express. Thank you for honoring the boys with your generosity, your compassion, and your continued support as we all try to hold each other up through this heartbreak.
Every dollar will go directly to the mother Christina, Ken and Kathy for:
• Memorial services
• Headstones or urns so their names live on
• Rent, utilities, gas, and food for the coming months
• Grief counseling for her and any siblings left behind
• Lost wages while she heals, etc.
News coverage:
• The Olympian – “Two teens killed in Lacey shooting”
• KING 5 – “Brothers, 16 and 17, identified as victims”
• Lacey PD is actively investigating; case #25-XXXX
Washington Crime Victims Compensation will cover some funeral costs, but caps are low and the process takes months. This fund bridges the gap immediately and without red tape.
No amount is too small. $5 buys a meal. $20 fills the gas tank. $100 keeps the lights on. Together, we can lift one impossible weight off a mother who’s already carrying too much.
If you can’t donate, PLEASE SHARE. These boys mattered. Their parents still do.
Thank you. From the bottom of a shattered family’s hearts.
