Please meet my friend Elen Samshina and her children Diana, 15 and James, 4. They are in dire need of help. Elena had to grab her kids and flee their home in Kiev because the bombing reached her neighborhood, actually hitting the building next to hers. They stayed in numerous overcrowded refugee camps which were filled with people who were very sick with various illnesses from covid-19 to the stomach flu. Elen was forced to make the very tough decision to spend the last of her money on bus tickets for her and her children to get to Germany. After arriving and having nowhere to go, they lived on the street for a few days and then someone offered to let them stay in the half basement of their empty summer home for a few days. Elen is very grateful for the shelter but there isn't any heat and the temperature has been in the 20's at night time. Her daughter Diana has epilepsy and has run out of her medication. Since they are in a different country, she will need an MRI before a doctor can prescribe the medications she must have. As healthcare is much different in European countries, she will have to pay for it all out of pocket. She was told by a government worker that someone would be by with food the next day. That was 3 days ago and no one ever came, and they don't work on weekends. It costs €30 per day for her family to eat. They desperately need our help. Donations will pay for transportation to the doctor for her daughter's examination, MRI, medication, food, warm clothes, blankets, and for shelter when she has to move again in a few days. Any amount you can donate will help Elena and her kids tremendously in their unimaginably horrible situation. If you cannot donate, please pray for them. Everyone, please pray. Pray for all the refugees. Thank you
