Abdullah Nasser, a 22-year-old young man, was born in Gaza and lived through every detail of life there… the little joy, the abundant sorrow, yet he never imagined that everything could turn into this much pain.

Since childhood, Abdullah had lost his father fifteen years ago, growing up with his siblings as orphans, learning from a young age what it means to face the world alone. Still, their home — no matter how simple — remained the place that gave them safety. But that home no longer exists today.

One day, during intense bombing, Abdullah’s house was completely destroyed. No one survived without pain. Abdullah himself suffered a severe third-degree liver injury — a wound that left marks not only on his body but also on his spirit. His mother suffered painful fractures, and his sister’s life came to a standstill as if time had frozen at the moment of the explosion. And worst of all… Abdullah lost his brother, adding a new layer of agony to the long years of being orphans.

But the tragedy did not end there. Shortly after, his mother suffered yet another injury — a quadcopter bullet that penetrated her head, causing two skull fractures and internal bleeding. From that moment, her life changed entirely: she lost hearing in her left ear, suffers from ongoing seizure episodes, and needs a delicate surgical operation to remove skull fragments and improve her condition.

Today, Abdullah lives with his mother and sister in a tent… a tent that cannot protect them from the winter cold, the summer heat, or the dangers surrounding them. A tent unfit to be called a home, yet it is the only shelter left for them.

Amid all this darkness, Abdullah — with his exhausted body and heavy heart — stands as the sole provider for what remains of his family. He carries the burden of his sick mother and his sister who can no longer stand, trying despite everything to stay strong, and to find even the smallest ray of hope for the family that has no one left but him.

This is Abdullah’s story… a story of pain that never ends, and resilience that never breaks. The story of a young man who was supposed to be beginning his life, yet finds himself fighting only to preserve what remains of it.
