This is Frito. He’s never met a stranger, loves babies, and has been a healthy boy his whole 4 years of life. On October 4, 2025 Frito had what we thought was a minor fall and injury. We had him checked at the vet and he was sent home with pain meds and an okay from the vet. On October 7th, 2025 we woke up to him completely paralyzed from the waist down. We are enrolled with banfields wellness plan but unfortunately we don’t have pet insurance to cover emergencies such as this. I know it’s a long shot but I’m asking for any help we can get to help save our boy and get him the neurological testing he needs, or at the very least get the supplies to ensure he can still live a happy life without mobility. We’ve reached out to a local university and their estimate was anywhere from $6000-$9000 just for the testing. We simply don’t have those kinds of funds. He is the best boy and has helped us survive so much being by our side. I know everyone is facing struggles but I figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask. Please help us get him the help he deserves.
