Wilfred Ha is the kind of child who lights up every room he enters. At just six years old, he has a rare spark — the kind that makes strangers smile and other parents stop to take pictures. Sweet, polite, and full of life, Wilfred is the beloved youngest of four brothers and the heart of his family.

On Saturday, July 12th, Wilfred was involved in a devastating boating accident. He sustained frontal and temporal cerebral contusions, skull and orbital fractures, the loss of his right eye, and maxillofacial bone and nerve injuries. He underwent an intensive 8-hour surgery, and after two days in a medically induced coma, he has miraculously woken up. Wilfred is receiving round-the-clock care, and doctors continue to closely monitor his condition.

The road ahead will be long, uncertain, and filled with unimaginable challenges, and many more surgeries — but Wilfred is a fighter, and he is surrounded by unwavering love.

His family has been his constant — by his side every moment since the accident, without rest or hesitation. Specifically his mother, our dear friend, has always carried the load for her four boys, and now she is doing the impossible with grace, strength, and fierce devotion.
