Welcome to my campaign page for the Miss Earth USA “Beauties for a Cause” charitable giving challenge. I am thrilled to embark on this journey and make a difference through advocacy, community service, and environmental sustainability.
About Me
My name is Sarah Sanjoh, and I am passionate about energy equity, environmental justice, and empowering others to make positive changes in their communities. As a PhD student researching energy equity and power systems, I strive to ensure fair and sustainable access to energy for all.
I served as the first president of an energy club at LSU, where I led initiatives to educate and inspire students to pursue careers in clean energy. Additionally, I founded a health club focused on engaging students interested in the intersection of health and energy fields, organizing outreach events and programs to foster meaningful connections.
In the past I was an active member of Formula SAE team , where the team worked on innovative vehicle design and engineering. This experience has enhanced my technical skills, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities, allowing me to explore sustainable and energy-efficient automotive technologies.
In addition, I have dedicated my time to raising funds for nonprofits and organizations that focus on environmental sustainability, STEM education, and community outreach. These efforts have strengthened my commitment to fostering positive change and supporting impactful programs.
Community service is close to my heart, and I have received recognition for my efforts. Participating in the Miss Earth USA competition is another way for me to amplify my impact and work toward a healthier, more sustainable future.
