My name is Raymond van Dijk.My home was destroyed in the 8/8/23 Lahaina wildfire. I’m reaching out to you during the most challenging times in my life. On August 8, 2023, our home in Lahaina was tragically destroyed by a devastating wildfire. We lost everything—our house, our belongings, and our sense of normalcy.
The wildfire left our neighborhood in ruins, and we are incredibly grateful to be safe. However, the path to recovery is daunting, and we need your help to rebuild.
A New Beginning with 3D Concrete Printing
In the wake of this disaster, we are seizing a unique opportunity to rebuild our home using a cutting-edge construction process known as 3 Dimensional Concrete Printing (3DCP). This innovative technology offers:
- Efficient Construction: 3DCP significantly reduces construction time and labor costs.
- Sustainability: It uses fewer materials and generates less waste compared to traditional methods.
- Customization: The process allows for complex, custom designs that are both functional and beautiful.
I am proud to share that this house will be one of the first in the United States to be rebuilt using 3DCP, as it is the first to receive a building permit for this technology. Other states have 3D Printed houses but do not require a building permit. Permit requirements are very strict in Hawaii. Designers must consider wind, seismic & a verity of other factors not required elsewhere. This not only marks a personal milestone for me but also represents a significant advancement in sustainable and efficient construction practices.

The Financial Challenge
The total cost to rebuild our home with this groundbreaking technology is estimated at $650,000. We are fortunate to have secured a loan of $380,000 from the United States Small Business Administration to support this endeavor. However, we still face a shortfall of $270,000 to cover the remaining expenses.
