98 Years of Love:
Ida P has spent nearly a century serving others. At 98 years old, she is the heart of our family and a pillar of the Madisonville community. She has lived a life of grace, but right now, she is facing a storm she cannot weather alone.
The Crisis
Following the recent passing of my uncle, our family was hit with a second tragedy. My grandmother was targeted by financial exploitation that completely depleted the life savings set aside for her 24/7 care. This has left a woman who has spent nearly a century serving others with virtually no safety net.
Because of this loss, we are struggling to provide the medical attention she desperately needs. Ida’s physical health is in a critical state—she has suffered 5 falls this month alone. She is no longer safe to be left unattended, and we are fighting every day to keep her supervised, secure, and in her home.
Why We Need Your Voice
I have moved back home to help with her care as much as I can, but the costs of professional 24/7 supervision, mounting medical bills, and necessary home safety modifications (like a walk-in safety shower and rails) are more than one family can carry alone.
We have launched The Phillips Care Fund to act as "Ida’s Voice." Our goal is to:
Secure 24/7 Supervision: To ensure she is never alone and to prevent a 6th fall.
Home Safety Modifications: To make her living environment safe and navigable again.
Restore Her Dignity: To ensure she can live out her years with the security she earned over a lifetime.
How You Can Help
Donate: No amount is too small. Every dollar goes directly to Ida’s care and safety.
Share: Please post this link to your Facebook, church groups, and community pages.
Advocate: By sharing her story, you are helping us protect a senior in crisis and helping "Ida's Voice" reach those who can help.
Thank you for standing with us. It’s in times like these you realize the true power of community.
Sincerely,
Courtney Daniels
