I am writing this on behalf of our amazing friend Eric who was a Paramedic and Navy Firefighter Veteran. Eric needs our help!
Years ago, Eric sustained blunt force trauma to the head from a table saw "kickback" of a three-foot 2x4. Requiring reconstructive jaw surgery and a year of rehabilitation. His lower teeth were not covered by the workman's comp. but were damaged. So now after years of pain and discomfort his lower teeth have suffered immensely, with loss of many teeth and many broken off requiring surgical removal. Dealing with constant infections and sinusitis. The VA doesn't cover dental, and he is in desperate need of getting major dental surgery. From the trauma he is now in need of cervical(neck) spinal fusion which is not service connected or covered by the VA.
Eric has a rare form of prostate cancer that is currently being treated at the VA and hasn't begun radiation as of yet.
He also has an asbestos induced lung nodule (the size of a marble) resting against his aorta that has not been biopsied yet due to the high risk of surgery.
One diagnosed and one pending types of cancer!!
