My name is Alika Brookes Rose. I am a 42 year old, single Mom of two teenage daughters. I have a PRESSING issue. Just got told by new Orthopedic that I need a 2 part surgery to harvest new cartilage and find a meniscus match because mine is 100% torn. Insurance is going to make me pay 20%, and I cant turn to my parents as they have helped far beyond what they even should have. Please, I understand that everyone has their own shit, REALLY I GET IT, but I am OUT OF options, treading water with Medical bills, and putting myself out here to get some help please. I absolutely hate borrowing money, let alone asking for help.
I would like anybody to know that if you're able to help, you can message me from more information and or I can set up a payment plan to ensure paying you back. To think that I am having to even ask for help because I can't even breathe from the mountain of debt medical bills and collections, has put me in a very vulnerable situation and place.
Please know that this ISN'T easy and I tried it months ago without a peep from anyone and I understand fully that people have lives and issues of their own. Even if you send me a happy face or something suggestions, those small gestures can make a huge difference.
I lost our place/home while visiting in FL. My ex mom in laws house had black mold, and after 2 years of my health being affected, it made it impossible to stay there. Long story short ALL my things besides 2 small boxes of memories were THROWN OUT, no clothes, bed, furniture, etc (EVEN my daughters baby teeth and hair!!) The black mold has been linked to accelerating the Stage 0 Breast Cancer I HAD.
So I am in need, until i get back on my feet with treatment and knee surgeries, to find a "HOME" for myself and my daughters, as well as transportation. I am in FL now visiting my parents and getting all necessary medical treatments done, as my daughters are in HS and I don't want them to be anything BUT kids right now.
They are staying with my ex husbands Dad and Step Mom (and they are NOT my 1st or even last choice, but thankful), so I am desperately in NEED for ANY help possible so that I may get back to GA and get them into a home with their Mom, where they belong.
I have applied for disability , but was told I'm not "disabled" enough. I don't want anyone to think I JUST want a 'handout', and have NO problem setting up a payment plan for repayment. Thank you for taking the time to read and or help and just saying a prayer would be greatly appreciated.
