Hi, my name is Aly Wick, and I’m from Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. I am fundraising for my dear friends, the Daabis family, who are currently trapped in Gaza and facing unimaginable hardship.
Below are the words of Safaa, a devoted mother of three:
“I am Safaa, a married woman and mother of three young children. We lived a simple and stable life, until we lost our entire home in the war and were forced to flee with nothing but the clothes on our backs.
Since that day, our lives have been filled with challenges. We have no stable shelter, and every day we struggle to secure food and basic necessities.
My children need safety, warmth, daily food, and medical care. I dream of the day they can return to school and learn like other children.
I am asking for help from compassionate people who can support us in rebuilding our lives.
Any amount — no matter how small — makes a big difference. Your kindness will help us access housing, food, medicine, and education for my children.”
Safaa’s family has endured loss after loss, yet they continue to hold onto hope. They want only what every parent wants: a safe place to live, food on the table, and a future where their children can grow, learn, and heal.
Through this fundraiser, you can help them meet their most urgent needs and take steps toward rebuilding their lives.
Your generosity provides:
-
🍞 Food
-
💧 Clean water
-
💊 Medication & medical treatment
-
🏚️ Emergency shelter / tent reinforcement
-
👕 Basic necessities like clothes, shoes, blankets
-
🚐 Travel costs if they are displaced again
-
🎒 Support for their children’s education
Every contribution — truly every one — lifts some of the weight this family carries.
From Aly:
I am an active member of my local community and Bookstagram, and I have founded several nonprofit initiatives focused on trauma support and literacy. I believe deeply in justice, compassion, and the dignity of every human life. If you have any questions about this fundraiser, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Please donate if you can, and please share this family’s story.
When we amplify their voices, we give them hope.
When we take action, we change lives.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.
