Hello fellow dog lovers...I'm creating this fundraiser for my vision of saving as many sheltered dogs as I can by maximizing their chances to find a home. It's a simple concept, and I've had this on my mind for quite a few years now. I have a good friend of mine that I told to hold me accountable and make sure I put my dream in action by this year's end, so here is a brief animated short I've been working on to start my journey to help the pups. A centralized platform that helps connect local animal shelters to their community in form of one day foster/play dates of sheltered dogs up for adoption, creating a fun volunteer platform with an endgoal of sharing the pups story and finding them their forever homes!
The end goal of PawPal is to change the revolutionize the animal shelters/volunteering industry just as Postmates or Uber did for food delivery/ridesharing. A complex app project such as this would require at least $72,000 investment, if not more. The plan is to create an app that would let us test this not just this model but also create the background check process for foster care standard of background checks.
My marketing campaign around PawPal will be to target college campuses and have students run table days and be brand ambassadors as well as volunteers (eventually have PawPal play dates eligible for college volunteer hours).
Medical field/ First Responders staff would also be a sector I would market this to due to them working high stress jobs with odd hours, making therapeutic PawPal play dates perfect for them to spend their day off.
Senior citizens who are retired would also greatly benefit from PawPal by having weekly (or even daily!) play dates with dogs at their local park, giving the dogs as much socializing hours as possible.
Plenty of local animal shelters as well as people who support this concept are ready to give it a try, we just need to come up with the funds to create this level of complex app project.
I'm definitely not a perfect human being, but my love for dogs has always been a grounded source of my empathy and compassion. This is a passion of mine, and it is all for the sake of bettering the lives of sheltered dogs. I see this campaign as a win/win because even If I'm not able to see my concept come true, funds raised from this campaign will be donated back to local animal shelters.
The ultimate dream would be to open PawPal no kill shelters adjacent to PawPal Inn, a doggy daycare/overnight hotel center. This way dogs with families will be able to help fund and support sheltered dogs waiting for their forever homes!
