My brother came down to Miami on a business related trip and slipped and fell at and Airbnb. He was taken to Jackson Memorial and sat in the ER for almost 2 days after telling them his pre existing polycystic kidney disease and stated his back was hurting and had been feeling worse lately beside the current injury. Once they got him to a room they then realized he was in complete renal failure and wasn’t expelling Co2 and oxygen levels were very low. He was admitted on July 20, 2023 and has since been put on life support and heavily sedated since the intubation is very uncomfortable. He is doing dialysis around the clock. We are wanting to get him transferred to our county from Dade County, but is unobtainable even if everyone in our family puts every cent together. We need to have enough money to have the best available treatment for him to have the best fighting chance. Jackson Memorial is texting (sedated heavily) my brother already asking for payment bc he no longer has medical insurance. He has fallen on hard times in the past 2-3 years and we don’t know what to do there isn’t any foundation or program that we’ve found that helps in these scenarios for such a young man. He’s only 36. He deserves another chance and live life!! Please help us we’re desperate is why we are at this point on here….
