Help get David to a safer place.
David is a 46 yo disabled and visual impaired transgender man who was living in Tennessee for several years, then recently moved from Tennessee to Iowa in hopes that it would be safer for him to be there. Well, on February 27, 2025 . Iowa passed a bill that stripped him of his civil rights. That bill is set to take effect on July 1, 2025.
David is now in need of assistance to get to California. So he can be "safe" why California? because of the fact that he was born there and His very dear friend who he calls Step Dad is there and that David has been asked by his friends biological son to assist him with his dad's daily needs.
David has a visual impairment and can't just rent a "budget truck" and move himself. He needs someone to help with moving him and his belongings to California. With that comes cost and financial issues.
David is disabled and has very limited income. Most of his SSDI check goes to rent. David needs to raise enough money for a" budget truck" now so that he won't have any delays with getting himself and his belongings to California. Included in the amount is funds for a driver to drive him to California.
David had a very tragic accident on an electric scooter back in 2019. where he hit a tree branch that punctured his left eye 👁 they tried to save it they couldn't now David wears a prosthetic and will never have any vision on his left side. David had to surrender his license because he has no peherferal vision. So David will need someone to help driving . David is on SSDI and has extremely limited funds after his bills are paid.
We know that funds are tight for everyone right now, so anything helps get us closer to our goal.
