Life has a way of changing in an instant.
A few years ago, I was working, laughing with friends, dreaming about the future—living a life that felt, at the very least, mine. Enjoying my three year son for he is the light of my world. But slowly, quietly, something shifted. It started with constant headaches, dizziness, memory fog, and exhaustion I couldn’t explain. Doctors’ visits turned into specialists, then scans, then… fear. The kind of fear that grabs you quietly and doesn’t let go.
Eventually, after what felt like a lifetime of uncertainty, I was diagnosed with a chiari malformation. One that doesn’t go away. One that meant my life was going to change in ways I never expected.
Some days, I want to just lay in bed all day. Other days, I push through the pain and try to hold on to some sense of normalcy. But this past year, things got worse. My symptoms intensified, and after months of constant doctors appts and different medications, i was told it would be better to get surgery sooner than later as my symptoms would enhance.
I’m not someone who finds it easy to ask for help. But I’m learning that strength isn’t always about doing everything on your own. Sometimes, it’s about being vulnerable enough to say: I need you.
Right now, I’m facing how to pay for the surgery as well as rent, utilities, and groceries. I will be out of work for about three months without pay due to being only PRN at work.. Every little bit helps—whether it’s $5, $50, or simply sharing my story.
If you’re reading this, thank you for taking a moment to be here with me. Whether you’re able to help financially or just send some kind words or prayers my way, it means more than I can say.
I don’t know what the future holds, but I’m holding onto hope—and to the kindness of people like you who remind me I’m not alone in this.
With love,
Myself and My Son Yano

Thank you to all my previous donors, I appreciate every single one of you and love you lots. I am now facing a possibility of another surgery to fix my Cervical Cranial Instability (CCI) occurs when the ligaments connecting your skull to your upper cervical spine (C1 and C2 vertebrae) become weakened or stretched. I had to quit my previous job due to not being able to go back because of my hand tremors and phlebotomy do not go together. I am still living alone with my son, trying to make ends meet.. I have applied for disability but with that it is a waiting game to see if I can qualify. Bills and rent are continuing to pile up without any sort of income.
