I've gone to three different dentists, and they all told me i have a cyst/lesion in my jaw where my wisdom tooth is supposed to be, it is eating away at my bone and if i don't get it fixed before its too late they may take away part of/my whole lower jaw, I need a maxillofacial surgery to get it removed, they all said there is nothing any of their surgeons can do so I've been waiting on a referral to find a surgeon, I'm covered with medical and its been taking months. It's been a year now and nothing has gotten done about it and its growing, I've just been running in circles trying to get it fixed. I finally found a surgeon near me who is able to do the surgery and bone grafting as well as removing my other wisdom teeth so they don't form cysts as well. The only problem is its a little over $3K for the surgery after my insurance, and i just don't have that kind of money. I am an 18 year old girl in college with no job, and my family doesn't have the money either. Its been causing me so much stress knowing that there is just a ticking time bomb in my jaw. Its been feeling sore and painful recently so i know its getting worse and i just need some help i would never start a fundraiser like this but its my last hope so please share and donate if possible.
Edit: i got a parttime job and have started working so hopefully i can save up some money, today my dad is gonna help me get a credit card so i can get it done faster and worry about the debt later, any donations i receive will still go straight to my medical and dental health, weather its paying off my debt or using it to fix some of the other issues i have with my teeth, thank you so much to everyone who has donated so far 🫶
Update: i went to my appointment on the 22ed and again my insurance covered nothing at all, my dad switched my insurance midway through the process which kinda screwed everything up. I spent $450 on a ct scan out of pocket, i have $500 to my name, and they said it would still be thousands of dollars for the anesthesia, biopsy, removal and bone grafting. I got one step out of the way at least and got my ct scan on a dvd so i can show it to the next doctor, but they recommend i just go to an emergency room for it since they may take my insurance, honestly don't know where to go from here but im gonna call the ER and see what i can do, thank you again to everyone who has donated and please keep donating and sharing, i will update along the way
