We Need Help Reuniting Our Family
I never imagined I would have to ask strangers for help like this, but our situation is urgent, and I am running out of options.
In 2024, I lost my amazing father. His passing was devastating, and while I was grieving, I was trying to keep going and care for my family.
Then, in 2025, I became pregnant with mine and my husband’s youngest child. My pregnancy was high-risk, and I had to return to the United States from Egypt so I could receive the care I needed and safely give birth to our baby. Leaving my husband behind was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do.
Since then, our family has remained separated.
My husband is still in Egypt, while I am here in Colorado raising our two young children. My daughter has an incredibly special bond with her dad. She loves him deeply, and being separated from him has been heartbreaking. She misses her father, and I desperately want her to have that relationship with him in person again.
Our baby is growing up without his father. His dad has never even had the chance to hold him. That breaks my heart in a way that is difficult to put into words.
But I don't want anyone to forget that I miss my husband beyond words, too.
I miss having him beside me through the ordinary moments of life. I miss being able to talk to him, laugh with him, share the responsibilities of raising our daughter at the time, and simply have him near me. There is an enormous emptiness that comes with loving someone who is thousands of miles away and not knowing when you will be able to hold them again.
We have spent so much time apart, and I desperately want my husband back—not just for our children, but for us.
And now, there is another reason we cannot afford to wait.
My husband’s father is dangerously ill and wants desperately to see his grandchildren. We don't know how much time he has left. Every day matters to us.
I am doing everything I can to find work and provide for my children, but I cannot raise enough money for international airfare for our family of three quickly enough on my own. I have explored every option I can think of, and I am now asking for help because we genuinely need it.
We need to get to Egypt as soon as we possibly can.
We are trying to raise enough money for airfare from Colorado to Egypt so that:
- Our daughter can be reunited with the father she loves and shares such a special bond with.
- Our baby can finally meet and be held by his father for the first time.
- My husband can be reunited with his children.
- I can finally hold my husband again after being separated from him for so long.
- His seriously ill father can see and hold his grandchildren.
- Our family can be together again while we still have the opportunity.
I know people everywhere are struggling financially, and I do not take this request lightly. I have spent a long time trying to figure out how to make this happen myself. I am asking now because I cannot do it alone, and time is becoming increasingly important.
If you can donate, any amount—no matter how small—brings us closer to getting on that plane.
If you cannot donate, please consider sharing our story. One share could reach someone who can help.
I have already experienced the loss of my wonderful father. I went through a high-risk pregnancy. I have spent months raising our children while separated from their father. And I have spent far too long missing the man I love.
I don't want our children—or us—to lose more precious time with the people we love simply because we cannot afford the airfare.
Please help us bring our family back together.
We are not asking for a vacation. We are asking for a chance to be a family again. We are asking for the chance to hold the people we love, make memories together, and be there for one another when it matters most. And right now, we urgently need help getting there.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading our story, sharing it, donating, or simply keeping our family in your thoughts. ❤️
