In 2024 I was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. Last year I had colon surgery in July ,did some chemotherapy after that, and Liver surgery in November 2024. The Surgeon removed the 2 tumors from my liver, we thought it was all gone. I went in for a PET scan in February and it was back, a golf ball sized tumor that could not be removed because it was too close to a main artery. I  tried some natural remedies and no sugar diets, was staying active and feeling good, I was feeling so good that I thought the tumor was gone, so I got another PET scan August 5th this summer and found out the golf ball tumor had grown to a softball size tumor, i did not believe I  could feel so good and be so sick at the same time, when I got the news my stomach sunk, and I lost my appetite for a couple days. The Oncologist wanted to do a lot of chemo with the possibility of surgery. I decided to get help somewhere else since the chemo and surgery led me back to the same place I was a year ago. I started seeing a wellness clinic as well as being in contact with specialty cancer Hospitals. I'm not sure the wellness clinic is the best place for me. I feel like I got one real chance to beat this thing. The specialty cancer Hospitals have treatment that is much easier tolerated and  very effective. The problem is these Hospitals do not take insurance, because insurance will not pay for things that are not classified as standard of care procedures like targeted tumor therapy and direct tumor injection.

I'm at a point in this Journey where I feel like everything is going to be OK, but I need some help. I hate to ask for money, but I spent all my savings and retirement. The work coming into the shop has dried up over the past year, so I don't have a steady income. To be honest its probably best to be away from the paint and dust anyway. I did receive an offer to work from home online, but it wont be making me any money till January if it works out at all. I thought I'd try out a crowd funding ad, there is power in numbers. If you feel inclined to donate, your donations will be much appreciated and put to good use. I appreciate time you took to read this, I would also appreciate it if you would share this with anyone you think could help.

Update February 26

Im still in Arizona. I was able to get back to Iowa to see the family for a few days at the end of January, it was a nice weekend, but went by fast. I m on week 8 of treatment,  everything is going good.  I had a Dr. appointment last Friday with the head Doctor, she said things look good and  the treatment plan is working well. I have6 weeks left on the plan, but unfortunately it looks like Im going to be out of funds in 3 weeks, so I might be going home early. im hoping for some last minute donations so I can get as much treatment as possible. The weather has been nice lately, and I feel good. I dont have anything to complain about, its nice to be in the sun.

Thanks to everyone who donated money, I couldnt be here without all the help.

Update, January 20,2026.

I made it to Arizona  Dec, 29th. I  am on my 4th week of treatment at Envita  Medical Center in Scottsdale,AZ. The treatment is manageable and the staff is wonderful. I am fortunate to be here, I appreciate all the help I have received, without it I would not be here.

The treatment schedule im on has me busy Monday-Thursday mornings. Mon-Tues are IV therapy, Wednesday is my low dose chemo day. The nurses administer insulin to lower my blood glucose level, when they reach the targeted level they start the 1/10 dose of chemo with the sugar, the cancer loves sugar and it eats it all up. I had my first low dose chemo last week and had no side effects or adverse reactions. Thursday is ozone day, I get hooked up to a machine that draws blood and mixes it with a ozone mixture and then puts it back in my body. Friday (Tuesday also) is acupuncture day, I really like acupuncture, I believe its been extremely helpful. Saturday I usually go to the store to get stuff for the next week. Sunday mornings I go to church. I found a GREAT Church in Scottsdale. Jesus People Church. The people there are very accepting and kind, they welcome all with open arms. Pastor Rowdy Van Horn is full of passion and energy. I'm really glad I found this place.

My expenses are piling up between Iowa and Arizona, for now the treatment is being covered by family. I will probably be needing help with some living expenses for February and March for me in Arizona and some heating and Insurance bills in Iowa. In the case that anyone is willing, or feels inclined to donate, I can assure you that my family is thankful for the support.

I will continue to post updates as things progress, thanks for taking the time to read this, it means a lot, If you would share this  I would appreciate it.
