Hello, my name is Tasia Hinojos and I am a teacher and mom of three from Glendale, Arizona. I have created this campaign on behalf of my friend Osama and his nephew, Omar. Please open your heart and listen to Osama's words:

My name is Osama Abdullah Al-Minyawi. I am 31 years old, and I come from a family of 4 boys and 3 girls.

The war started on October 7 in the morning and I was terrified from my sleep. My mother was afraid.

The planes began bombing all over the Gaza Strip without mercy and randomly, and they destroyed many houses, and also destroyed my sister’s house and the house of my second sister. My house also fell.

As a result, my nephew Omar has burns on 1/2 of his body and requires urgent surgery. The surgery costs 2,000 dollars and must be done in Egypt once the border opens. Omar's father and myself have both been without work for 8 months as a result of this war. We do not have the money for this surgery.

My family and I and their children were displaced to Rafah in tents, and there was not enough water to drink or to wash.

We have been suffering for 8 months. There is not enough water or food. The goods that enter Gaza are sold to us and not given to us for free. The prices are so expensive that we cannot buy them, as I mentioned we have lost all source of livelihood.

Winter came and it rained heavily. We sank inside the tent and got up in the middle of the night to pick up our belongings and did not sleep much because of the rain.

Now we have been displaced from Rafah to Al-Wusta because of their entry into Rafah. I do not know where to go. All of Gaza is not safe.

Please stand with in solidarity with us in this during this tragic time. Any amount will help and if you cannot donate, please share. May God bless you all

Love,

Osama

Osama is a very kind soul who is trying so hard to find the money needed for his family to survive. Please help him by spreading this campaign. He must buy credit to use the phone and travel to a far location  just to use the internet. He needs our help spreading this campaign.

The fundraising goal will be used for basic essentials like food and water, evacuation for Osama and Omar's family, and the surgery that Baby Omar needs. There will be complete transparency and I will update you of any changes. Please reach out if you have any questions. May you all be blessed.

Love,

Tasia

It has now been 77 days since any food has entered Gaza. The situation is no longer just a crisis — it is apocalyptic. Osama, Baby Omar and their family, are trapped in unimaginable conditions, with nothing left to eat.

As if the starvation wasn’t enough, there are relentless massacres happening every single day. People are not only dying from hunger, but from constant bombardment and violence. There is no safe place, no refuge, and no relief.

The cost of survival is staggering. A single bag of flour now costs around $750. A single meal for a family of eight is costing around $70 — if food can even be found. People are risking everything just to get a small bite to eat.

Please, if you’re reading this, we are begging you — give whatever you can. Every dollar counts. Every donation can mean one more day that they go to sleep with something in their stomach. If we cannot stop the bombs, the very least we can do is make sure they have food. And if you are unable to give, please pray. Pray that aid gets through. Pray that this nightmare ends. They are starving. We cannot ignore their cries.

Ramadan Mubarak to everyone. May peace be upon you all. The conditions in Gaza are indescribable. The border closures have left to empty markets and all that is available is extremely expensive. It is a full blown famine. This happening during the holy month of Ramadan is unimaginable. Families do not have food to break their fast with. Osama desperately needs money to feed his family and for monthly rent. In addition to the food situation, Osama's mom requires injections for her eyes, which cost 600 dollars. She has glaucoma and cannot see at the moment. Osama is desperately looking for the money to help his mother.  Please donate whatever you can or share. Small amounts among the collective can make a huge difference. Any amount helps. May God bless everyone who continues to stand with Palestine.

May peace and blessings be upon you all. I am coming to you with a very sad and desperate message unfortunately.

Osama and Omar's donations have almost come to a halt during a time when they need them more than ever. They must come up with 500 dollars for the space they rent in Al-Maghazi. Yes, I know it is crazy that the displaced are being forced to pay extremely high rent prices for a space of rubble, but that is the current reality.

Additionally, Osama needs to pay for his mother's medication for high blood pressure and her eyes. These costs are of course on top of basic necessities. I am sure you have heard that the markets are empty and what is available is extremely expensive. Please, Please, stand with them during this time and donate whatever amount you can. Every dollar counts.

One good piece of news is that Omar was able to get his surgery and is now pain free, Alhamdulilla. You can see updates on Osama's Instagram page. However, the operation was expensive and created a very difficult economic situation.

I am including some adorable pictures of Omar that literally break my heart. No child should be forced to hold up signs begging for money. Omar in his spiderman outfit reminds me of all the children that will go out trick-or-treating tonight and all the money that will be spent on candy and decorations. It crushes me to think about.

May we pull together and donate whatever we can. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. May God bless you all beyond measure.

May peace and blessings be upon you all,

This is Tasia coming to you with a message from Osama. I spoke with him this morning and the news is devastating. Today he received evacuation orders to leave Maghazi. Osama and his family evacuated to Deir al Balah, however, they could not find a large enough space. Osama and his brother returned to Maghazi, despite the risk, and the rest of the family stayed. Funds are desperately needed to buy a tent. Please give what you can and/or share. Check Osama's Instagram account for more updates. Thank you from the heart. May you all be blessed.

May peace and blessings be upon you all. I come to you with an update on Omar and Osama. They are still in Al-Maghazi Camp, surrounded by danger. There have been multiple occasions when the family was close to evacuating, but they have remained steadfast in Al-Maghazi. However, the moment to leave could arise at any time, and it's crucial that funds are available for a new tent, transportation, and other essentials.

Osama's mom still needs eye medication for her glaucoma, and Baby Omar will require surgery once, God willing, the border opens. Recently, the internet towers near Osama were bombed, leaving him without access. He now has to travel a long distance to connect, making it even more important for us to continue donating and sharing this campaign.

Osama sends his love and heartfelt thanks to all of you. May God bless you.
