Hey everyone! On behalf of Sammy, Cary, and their family, we need your help.
As you know Sam is battling a form of Small Cell Lung Cancer called Neuro Endocrine Carcinoma. We have some encouraging news to share, but we also need your support. Together, we can make a significant difference in Sammy's life.

Sammy's journey in the fight against cancer has been a challenging one but there are some encouraging new developments. Recently, the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota reviewed Sammy's case and has accepted him for a first consult appointment scheduled for November 14. This is a significant step towards finding the best possible treatment for Sammy's condition.
While waiting for his upcoming appointment, Sammy's current treatment continues with the exceptional medical team at Wake, who are working tirelessly to determine the cause of the bleeding in his digestive tract. Additionally, Sammy's chemotherapy treatment is ongoing. To monitor his progress, Sammy is scheduled for a follow-up with G.I. doctors on November 1 and MRI and CT scans on November 7 to ensure that the tumors continue to shrink.

The Challenge:
The ongoing expenses for transportation, housing, and the impact from his absence from work are substantial. Now, with the upcoming trip to Rochester, Minnesota, for Sammy's Mayo Clinic appointment, the financial burden has become even greater. Sammy cannot undertake the 16-hour drive due to blood clots, which necessitates air travel, further increasing the costs.
We ask that if you could help in any way, that 1) you PRAY! and 2) Financial Support: To help alleviate the financial burden that comes with Sammy's medical journey, we humbly ask for any contribution you can provide. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in Sammy's life. Your support will go towards covering transportation, housing, medical bills, and other related expenses.

ANYTHING, absolutely anything, would be so helpful for Sammy, Cary, and their family. And please, share this with your friends. If you prefer to make a direct, private contribution you can contact Cary or me directly and we will provide information.
Thank you so very much!
