100 Days ago, on April 28th, Nova's immunologist informed us that his immune system was no longer producing infection-fighting cells, which means that he is incredibly susceptible to illness, and being ill could be fatal for him. We were admitted to the hospital, and after a week in the hospital, we were discharged under the instructions to isolate at home until we could figure out how to proceed with his medical treatment. It has been over 3 months of isolation for Nova and Mom. That means 3 months without income and 3 months without any answers. The NIH is running tests, but results take months, and we are either still waiting for or have been denied any kind of assistance. With all of this happening, it is impossible to make ends meet, especially for a single parent. We are looking for anything to help make ends meet and continue to receive medical care for Nova, and hopefully, someday soon, he can live a life outside of our apartment.
