Judith (Judi) Anne Wampler was born on November 10, 1943, and was welcomed home by her Savior on October 8, 2026. We (her three daughters) believe that in lieu of flowers for her memorial service, Judi would prefer donations to her continuing missionary work in Lithuania. This fund has been established for those donations.
After retiring as a medical transcriptionist, Judi fulfilled her calling as a missionary, first as a summer Discovery Camp counselor in Lithuania, where she taught English and shared her testimony with young people. Judi then moved to Vilniaus, Lithuania, just shy of her 70th birthday, and volunteered with Vilniaus Minties Children’s Social Care Home for five years. Her love for the Lithuanian children and the expression of her faith remain strong through the work of Team M (pictured above), a group of Lithuanian believers who continue the work Judi began.
Judi was the Missionary Liaison at her church, Evansville Bible Church. Her last email to the church in this capacity, dated October 5, 2026, was a request for support for the Lithuanian children. Team M and others are raising money to provide 31 orphan children with Christmas gifts. Money donated to this fund will go towards that request, and anything remaining will be used for the ongoing work of Team M. Team members meet with Lithuanian youth on a regular basis for fellowship and support.
Though she will be deeply missed, Judi’s abiding faith, adventurous spirit, and curiosity for the world will remain a source of comfort and inspiration to all who were blessed to know her. A memorial service will be held at Evansville Bible Church (2001 Bayard Park Dr, Evansville, IN 47714) on Tuesday, October 20 at 1:00pm CST.
