Last week Karen was diagnosed with early stage breast cancer. We don’t know what will come over the next few weeks or months. What we do know is there will, at minimum, be surgery and radiation. This is a setback for any person. Karen, being diabetic, will have more of a setback…. Especially if there is a need for chemo or more extensive surgery. We want to help her in any way we can to get her through this and back on her feet.
Karen has worked hard to create a business out of her passion. She built it from the ground up. Her business extends from Kansas, across the Eastern United States, to Vermont.. and many places along the way. We all know owning a business is tough. Being self employed is tough but if nothing else, Karen is a hard worker. Saddle Fitting, her business, is her life. She eats, sleeps and breathes it. When she is upset, she works. When she is in pain, she works. When she is tired, she works. Except, right now and for the near future, she will not be able work like she is accustomed to. In addition to less money coming in from work, there will be travel and copays and medical expenses. Many have reached out asking if there is anything they can do to help. THIS is what we can do!!
So, we are doing this for her in hopes of relieving some stress, some pressure, so she can take the time she needs to heal .. inside and out.
We hope you will join us in this effort.
In deepest gratitude,
Tina(Sister) & Pernille(Devoted friend)

I can’t believe how much ground Karen has covered in the past few weeks. Wrist surgery is complete. There were a few minor hiccups in the healing process but all seems to be positive now. Ortho follow up is soon and will find out the status there.
