Mataya's Medical Travel Expenses

Hello my name is Mataya Rose Whitford. I am 22 years old, and I’m currently facing a serious heart condition that has changed my life in ways I never expected. I have PSVT, which causes frequent and intense heart episodes where my heart races uncontrollably, pounds hard in my chest, and leaves me in severe pain and short of breath. These episodes have made it difficult to live a normal life. Despite ongoing care, the treatment I’ve received so far is no longer helping, and modern medicine where I’ve been going has reached its limits for me. Because of this, I now have to travel to Kansas City to seek more advanced care, better technology, and specialists who can help me move forward. The procedure that may finally give me relief is an AV node ablation combined with a pacemaker. This is a major step, especially at my age, but it’s the best chance I have at getting my life back. I’ve spent my whole life working hard and living actively. I’ve ranched, welded on the pipeline, and I love hunting, fishing, and spending time with my family. Right now, I’m unable to live that life the way I want to, and that’s been one of the hardest parts of this journey. I’m holding onto hope that this next step in Kansas City will bring answers, healing, and the chance to return to the life I love.
