It hit me, unaware, and thought I was prepared. I had been forced to quit, and I had no way out but to find temp work.
Just a few months ago I was working for a multi billion dollar company, I had been for 12 years. I was promised a promotion, and I delivered when I received it.
It was all going well until I was slighted. Not for my work ethic, not necessarily because of any unprofessionalism on my part; they didn't have a way to say they wanted to save money without making me feel like quitting.
The few weeks after, I would supplement my income with a series of temp jobs. I always had a job, this was my first time in a while I was without.
I like many people my age, tried to hang on to the best chance I had to get ahead. It began to affect my interests, and my behavior; I suddenly had no time for music, I couldn't eat well, and couldn't get on unemployment, it felt planned.
My savings all gone, my bills stacking up, I've already lost so much tangible items, I forget what I have inside. I can't believe what people say about me if it's positive on off days..and I've had too many off days.

•I should let you know also I'll be producing music on the side, while I look for work. The more days I get to be myself, which I learned is a choice! The better person I can be to those I love.
