Hello everyone! (Please do not share this public forums such as facebook, I am ashamed enough to ask for help from people I know)
As many of you know, I have been accepted to the Brody School of Medicine, M.D. program. Truth be told, I did not expect to get in this cycle, i anticipated having to take a gap year because of my lower than expted MCAT score, however, my community service and local activism caught the eye of the admissions commitee. I am aware that others who applied are also worthy candidates and it is nothing short of a blessing that I was offered a spot with BSOM. Becca and I took a leap of faith when we purchased our home in Greenville, should i have been accepted out of state or somewhere else in NC, we may have had to sell the house and deal with a lot more stress. My acceptence has been nothing short of a blessing.
With all of this said, because I wasnt expecting an accptance this year, I left myself in a pickle with the wedding, summer camp, etc. Over the last 8 years I have become highly hesitante to ask for help but now that I'm so close to reaching this dream, I'm setting my pride to the side.
BSOM requires certian tech abilities, abilities that my current laptop does not have. I have researched products with the needed connectivity, download speeds and performance. The goal that I have set would cover all of this.
If you are able to help in anyway, it would mean a lot to me. Going to medical school is a dream come true and any assistance along the way means more than you know.
