Daisy is my 13 year old Shih Tzu with more personality than most people I know!
Having had her since she was 8 weeks old she has become a nonegotiably important part of my life as well as many others.
Unfortunately age and breed genetics have caught up with her as within the months of February and March 2024 she has wracked up over $2,500 in vet bills...yikes!
Starting with a spontaneous ulcer in her left eye we then discovered that she has 2 other eye conditions as well as the start of cataracts in both eyes. Somehow her regular vet visits seemed to miss this. After 13 years of no health issues!
Upon working with a specialist to heal her eyes, she then experienced a near total collapse of her trachea due to stress, genetics, age and having to wear a cone.
Now that she recently received a clean bill of health for her eyes managing to get away with a 4 month check up, and her trachea being well managed, she may now have another spontaneous ulcer due to poor medication change.
Between 6 eye drop medications, 2 oral medications, bi weekly and monthly check ups...her bills are becoming a bit to heavy to handle.
I am open to recieving generous donations to continue providing her with the best care possible. Even at 13 years old she has so much more energy to burn, love to give and life to live.
