Ashley is a devoted single mother of three, with two children still at home who face serious mental health challenges. Her youngest is autistic with high support needs. Despite her own mental health struggles, Ashley works tirelessly to provide her children with love and stability.

After an unexpected emergency surgery at the end of August, Ashley missed work while caring for her children through an especially difficult time. Sadly, the situation has now reached a crisis point. Last night, she was served eviction papers with just 24 hours to move. She is currently packing essentials while trying to calm her son’s anxiety, with no new place to go and facing homelessness.

Ashley is incredibly grateful for the support already received—thanks to that kindness, her children were able to experience some joy this Christmas. She is still seeking help to secure stable housing and get back on her feet. Any support or sharing means more than words can express. Thank you for your kindness and compassion. 💙

Good morning. First, I want to sincerely thank everyone for all the help and support that has been given. Unfortunately, I was not able to secure enough assistance to keep my home. At this time, I have not yet been served the writ of recovery, but it has been issued. We are now putting everything into storage except for the essentials. Our focus has shifted from trying to keep our home to finding a new place to live.

As for the kids, my 13-year-old son, who is autistic, is beginning to understand what is happening. While he’s processing it, it has come with significant challenges. My daughter has been incredibly strong on the outside, doing her best to support her brother, but she is experiencing a great deal of anxiety. This stress has caused some of her stimming behaviors to resurface.
