Our Baby Boy’s Clubfoot Journey
Our son is still just a baby.
He hasn’t even taken his first steps yet, but his little life has already been filled with doctor visits, casts, and procedures most adults would struggle to go through.
When he was born, we were told he had clubfoot. Like any parent hearing unexpected news about their newborn, our hearts dropped. But we held onto hope because we were reassured that with the right treatment, this was something that could be corrected.
We trusted the medical advice we were given and started treatment right away. Our tiny baby went through casting and procedures meant to correct his foot, and as parents, we believed we were doing everything we could to give him the best chance at a normal childhood.
But things didn’t go the way we were promised.
Instead of improving the way we hoped, our baby’s condition became much more complicated. What started as a standard case of clubfoot has now turned into complex clubfoot, which means a much longer and more difficult road ahead for him.
As parents, nothing prepares you for watching your baby struggle through things like this. Seeing such a small child go through repeated casting, painful adjustments, and the possibility of multiple surgeries is heartbreaking.
He is just a baby who should be learning to crawl, taking his first steps, and exploring the world not facing a long medical journey before he’s even had the chance to walk.
Because of the complications, our son will now need more casts, specialist care, and another surgery to help correct his foot and give him the chance to walk and run like other children.
The emotional toll on our family has been heavy, but so has the financial burden. Between ongoing medical care, travel to specialists, time away from work, and the treatments he will continue to need, the costs are quickly becoming overwhelming.
But as parents, we will do absolutely anything to help our baby.
We just want to give him the chance to grow up running across the yard, playing with his siblings, and living a childhood free from constant pain or limitations.
That’s why we are asking for help.
Every donation, share, and prayer helps bring our baby closer to the care he needs and the future he deserves.
If you’re unable to donate, sharing his story means just as much to our family.
Thank you for supporting our baby boy and standing with our family during this difficult journey.
We love you all,
Kelcie & Family
