Hi! My name is Marilyn Knapp.
I’m an actress and a screenwriter located in Northwest Arkansas.
I recently wrote Faculties and Facilities, a short film based on a true story. It is about a
middle-aged woman who struggles to find her aging parents a new home for their final years. It focuses on Mary’s journey navigating the system that offers help for the elderly, but makes it very difficult to find. Knowing that many people struggle when faced with this circumstance, I wanted to tell this story with a message of hope. I am producing this film in partnership with the nonprofit organization Your Media. My director is Marc Crandall, director of the multi-award winning short film Banana Triangle Six. We have a phenomenal team, which is growing.
