In the past few months Beth moved into a new apartment and before she could totally settle in she had a fall in the shower and suffered a hairline fracture in her back. Just as she was starting to feel better and heal from that injury she and her dog, Macks were attacked by a neighborhood dog that had roamed into their back yard. Macks suffered a puncture wound to one of his legs.
Beth sustained extensive injuries to her right hand that required sutures and is now wrapped and braced as it heals it is still swollen and there may be nerve damage. She may yet need surgery and requires physical therapy. All while this is happening her car died and needs a new engine. She is on her own with no savings for emergencies like this and is drowning under the weight of medical bills. Her hand injuries have her on leave from her job and she is isolated at home with no car and no way to afford the care she needs.
