Since Motivity Dance school's inception we have cultivated a welcoming space that encourages creativity and skilled dance training. We offer a year-long program, allowing students to advance from Young Company to Junior Company, Senior Company, and beyond. We believe focusing on the fundamentals of ballet as a foundation and nurturing their creativity will prepare them for future auditions and opportunities. Your donation will directly support student scholarships for their personal improvement in summer workshops and enrichment classes.
Motivity Collective’s instructors: Alison Arima, Cheryl Tolman, and Breezy Berryman are motivated to help the students achieve their life-long dance goals. Our collaborations have resulted in memorable productions such as Emerge (2021), Expand (2022), Dancing Through Wonderland (2023), and Swan Lake (2024). This spring we are setting our sights on the fun and fantastical world of Hans Christian Anderson with Thumbelina. Four performances are scheduled for the Mariner Stage the last weekend of May. Thumbelina will feature fairies, woodland creatures, aerial silks and a guest appearance from Jill Berryman’s awe inspiring life size puppet creation, The Menacing Mole . We promise you an enchanting experience with innovative costumes, jaw dropping set design and UV light effects from production team Simon Lopez, Scott Forster, Tiana Hopper, Susie Haubner, Carla Klinker, Pat Brennan, Wina Wade, and Jill Berryman. We need financial assistance to cover productions costs. These include: studio and theater rental, purchasing costume accessories, set, lighting and technical expenses. Please help us meet our budget by donating directly or putting a business ad in our program.
Our monetary goal is higher this year so that we can secure a permanent home for Motivity. The Beluga Lake Lodge has generously rented to us this spring, but we are in need of a long-term space to host classes and rehearsals for the future. We have been searching high and low for land lots to construct a pre-fabricated metal building or remodel a pre-existing building located in the right zoning district . Your contribution can make this long term goal a reality.
Your donation benefits our dancers and our community's vibrancy. Join us in bringing Thumbelina and future Motivity productions to the stage. Contribute today and have a lasting impact on dance in Homer. No bestowal amount is too large or small.
Hope to see you at the show! It's going to be magical!
On behalf of Motivity Dance School, thank you for your support,
