Help Us Rebuild After the Flood Changed Everything
I never thought I’d be writing something like this.
After catastrophic flooding destroyed our bridge, swept our truck into the creek, and damaged our home’s foundation, we’re asking for help to rebuild what we lost.
What started as a heavy rain quickly turned into one of the worst days of our lives. The creek behind our home rose faster than anyone expected, and before we knew it, it had become a raging river.
The flood completely washed out our road, took out our bridge, and sent our truck into the creek. The force of the water also ripped away huge sections of our property and even undermined part of our home’s foundation. Standing there watching it happen, all we could do was hope everyone stayed safe.
We’re incredibly thankful that no one was hurt. Things can be replaced—people can’t. But now that the water has gone down, the reality of what we’re facing is setting in.
The damage is overwhelming. We have to figure out how to repair the foundation, stabilize the creek bank, replace our bridge so we can safely access our property again, and deal with the loss of our truck. On top of that is all the cleanup and everything else that comes with starting over after something like this.
Asking for help isn’t easy. If we could do this on our own, we would. But the cost of rebuilding is more than we can handle, and that’s why we’re reaching out.
