A Spiritual Elder in the South Los Angeles community is in need of your assistance. She has served for the last 37 years. Now her health is in need of financial support to help her through upcoming treatments for breast cancer. She has been battling this disease for the last 2 1/2 years. Her wish is to remain anonymous. This Spiritual Elder is a beacon of light in the South Los Angeles community and an advocate for non-violence and peace since 1985. She has housed those who were sick or homeless and had nowhere to go. She has tirelessly served and counseled many single women who have lost a child to gun violence. Many have come to her door in their time of need, whether for rest, food, or healing of their broken heart. Numerous young people have received her counsel on how to live in peace and harmony.
This spiritual Elder has participated in walks for peace in America and regularly supports the homeless by monthly distributing food and supplies to those on LA streets. For the past 2 1/2 years, she has been undergoing a healing journey with cancer, receiving conventional and holistic medicine and treatments. There has been some progress, but more treatments are needed.
Currently, she has been hospitalized and she is taking medicine to enhance her immune system. Her current medical expense is approximately $15,000. This is an out of pocket expense that will cover her follow-up to keep the body improving until full recovery.
