Hello everyone, my name is tobias Sara, and I’m reaching out with a heart full of gratitude mixed with a lot of fear and hope.
A few months ago, my entire world turned upside down. After weeks of feeling unusually tired, having persistent pain, and ignoring what I thought were just stress symptoms, I finally went to the doctor. The news hit like a freight train: I was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer. The doctors told me we needed to act fast. Since then, my days have been filled with scans, blood tests, biopsies, and the start of intense treatment.
Every single day is an emotional rollercoaster. Some mornings I wake up feeling determined and ready to fight with everything I have. Other nights, the fear creeps in—the worry that I might not be here to see the future I’ve always dreamed of. The chemotherapy has been tough; the nausea, the exhaustion that makes even getting out of bed feel like climbing a mountain, and the way it steals my energy and sometimes my smile. There are moments when I look in the mirror and barely recognize the strong, independent woman I used to be—the one who was always there for her family and friends, juggling work, life, and everything in between.
Before cancer, I was working as a teacher, spending my days shaping young minds, coming home tired but fulfilled, and spending weekends with loved ones, enjoying simple pleasures like cooking, reading, or taking walks in the park. I’ve always tried to stay positive and give back to others. Now, I’m the one who needs help, and it’s incredibly humbling to ask. But I know I can’t do this alone. The medical journey is not just physically draining—it’s financially overwhelming too.
Even with health insurance here in the United States, the costs are adding up quickly. Deductibles, co-pays for chemotherapy sessions, specialist visits, prescription medications, transportation to and from treatments, and the everyday living expenses while I’m unable to work full-time are creating a heavy burden. We’re talking thousands of dollars that insurance doesn’t fully cover—things like additional supportive therapies, nutritious food to help my body stay strong, and basic bills so I don’t lose stability during this fight. All I want is to focus completely on getting better: showing up for every appointment, following my doctors’ plan, resting when my body needs it, and giving myself the best possible chance to beat this disease and come out stronger on the other side.
That’s why I’ve created this spotfund. Every donation—no matter if it’s $5, $10, $50, or more—will go directly toward my medical expenses, treatment costs, travel to appointments, medications, and helping cover daily living needs so my family and I can concentrate on healing instead of stressing about money. Your support won’t just pay bills; it will give me peace of mind, reduce the weight on my shoulders, and remind me that kindness and community still exist in the world.
I believe in the power of people coming together. Many of you have faced your own hardships, lost loved ones to cancer, or simply know what it feels like to need a helping hand. If my story touches your heart, please consider donating whatever you can and sharing this page with your friends, family, coworkers, or on social media. Even if you can’t give financially, your encouraging words and prayers in the comments mean more than you know—they lift my spirit on the hardest days.
I promise to keep this page updated regularly with honest updates: how my treatments are going, any small victories or setbacks, and exactly how your generous gifts are making a difference in my fight. Transparency is important to me, and I want you to see the real impact of your kindness.
From the deepest part of my heart, thank you for taking the time to read my story. Thank you for caring about a stranger—or a friend—who is battling one of life’s toughest fights. Your support is giving me strength, hope, and the belief that I can overcome this. Together, we can turn fear into determination and help me reclaim a healthy, joyful life.
