Dear friends and neighbours,
I hope you're doing well. I'm writing to ask for your help in a difficult time. A couple of weeks ago, my electric bike, which I built by hand, was taken from me. This bike was more than just a mode of transportation - it was crucial for my livelihood as a musician.
Due to my health conditions of degenerative disc disease and sarcoidosis, I can no longer work like I used to and my bike was the only way for me to carry my guitar and amp to perform and earn a living. Unfortunately, my health has worsened to the point where I can no longer perform even short gigs as a chef. The loss of my bike has been devastating as it was essential to my ability to make a living.
I don't have any savings, so there is no way for me to purchase another bike. I'm truly in a tough spot now. Losing my bike is like losing a wheelchair - it's that important to me. I even tried walking to the store the other day and the pain was so bad that I couldn't even get out of my driveway.
If anyone has seen my bike or has an extra electric bike to donate, I would be incredibly grateful. I will even do some kind of work as long as it doesn’t require me to stand for long periods of time. I would much rather get my bike back, then have to do this and ask strangers for help, but I don’t know what else to do. If anyone sees my bike in the neighbourhood please contact the police or contact me so that I can contact the police. I’m not sure how much good that would do, but I remain hopeful. This has been a devastating loss for me. I hope you will consider supporting me.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for your generosity.
Best, Chris
