Hi! I'm MJ, and I'm 19 years old and a rising sophomore in college. I have hypermobile Ehler's-Danlos Syndrome, Crohn's Disease, severe ADHD, and anxiety. My disabilities are preventing me from working a full-time or part-time job both during the school year and over the summer. I am only able to babysit, and only for short periods of time.
To give you an idea of how much my medical care costs, I have four specialists at the moment, soon to be five. I am enrolled in physical therapy, and I'm always seeing new doctors and trying new treatments in the hopes that I will one day be able to do more to support myself, but right now that isn't a possibility.
My parents support me. They never complain about it, never make me feel like a burden, and have never once asked anything of me in return. I am so grateful for their help, and I'd like to be able to give back to them. If I can raise 10,000 dollars for my medical care, that will take so much weight off their shoulders. They can focus on saving for my brother's college fund, or planting new trees in the yard so they can remove the Bradford pears, or an anniversary trip (they'll have their 25th anniversary in March of next year!). Really, I'd just like to thank them for all their unconditional love and support.
