Tragedy almost struck my family on 4/9/2023, Easter Sunday.
My niece, Chynna went into labor, and ended up having an emergency C-section, due to complications. After the delivery of Baby Ryatt, this precious baby wasn't breathing. They were able to resuscitate and stabilize her. When stabilized, she was transported by ambulance to Cox South in Springfield, Mo. where she was taken to NICU, and has been there since.
Chynna on the other hand became unstable also when her uterus wouldn't contract down, and was bleeding a lot. She ended up having to have an emergency hysterectomy in order to stop the bleeding and save her life. Once stable, she too was transported to Cox South in Springfield, Mo where she was in ICU for 4 days. She ended up being on continuous dialysis for almost 3 days to help her kidneys function.
Mom (Chynna) was discharged 8 days later and having to do dialysis 3 times a week until her kidneys get better. If they don't show much improvement in 90 days, she will be put on the transplant list.
Little Miss Ryatt is improving also. However, after a recent MRI, her diagnosis is Neonatal encephalopathy. Which means she has some brain damage. We are unsure of what stage or level. Miss Ryatt will be in NICU for a little while longer.
As Chynna and David (boyfriend & Ryatts daddy) will be traveling back and forth from their home town where she's doing dialysis, and then to the hospital to be with Baby Ryatt.
Fund for this family have been decreased suddenly, and then moving forward, there will be other obstacles for them to get through financially.
I'm making this fundraiser to help this family be able to drive back and forth for medical treatments and to spend time with Baby Ryatt.
Donations will go straight to them for gas, lodging, and food, until Ryatt is able to come home.
