During our 21 years of marriage, we tried several infertility treatments with no success. It was a tough rollercoaster ride and that included the joys of pregnancy and the lows of a miscarriage. After much prayer and consideration, we decided to begin the adoption process only to learn that this journey would also come with joys and pains. We began a private adoption only to have the promise of our first child fade with a failed adoption. Over a year later we matched with a birth mother and are excited to welcome our first child, Baby Land, at the end of August.
As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. We have set a goal of $25,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents. We’ve purchased a 1000-piece puzzle for Baby Land’s nursery. For every $25 donated, we will write the donor’s name on the back of the puzzle. We hope that by inviting you to support our adoption, you will see yourself as an integral part of our community that puts the pieces together to support our forever family. Even if you are unable to give at this time, we would greatly appreciate your prayers. We’ve waited a long time for Baby Land to come and we are grateful for the love and support we have received thus far.
