My name is Erin, and I’m reaching out with a heavy but hopeful heart to ask for help for my dog, Lucy.
Lucy isn’t just a pet to me—she’s family. She has been my constant companion through so many parts of life. She’s the kind of dog who greets everyone with a wagging tail, follows me from room to room just to be close, and somehow always knows when someone needs a little extra comfort. Lucy has a gentle soul and brings so much happiness to everyone who meets her.
Recently, Lucy wasn’t acting like herself. She became very tired, stopped eating, and was clearly in pain. I took her to the vet right away, and after tests and examination, they diagnosed her with pancreatitis. Hearing that was heartbreaking. Seeing such a loving, energetic dog suddenly so sick has been incredibly difficult.
Pancreatitis is a painful condition that requires immediate medical care, including fluids, medication, monitoring, and supportive treatment to help her recover. The vet has told me that with proper treatment Lucy has a good chance to recover and get back to being the happy, tail-wagging dog we all know and love.
Unfortunately, the total cost for Lucy’s treatment is around $2,300. Between the emergency visit, testing, medications, and ongoing care, it has become more than I can manage on my own right now.
That’s why I’m asking for help.
